I am surprised your partner did not find them sweet enough strange. What type of sugar did you use in your dough brown sugar. Maybe I made mine with the brown sugar mixed with Splenda. When you do them again make the sugar 2 oz.For me what makes it sweet is the topping with brown sugar that I brush on top and the sweet coconut filling. Your dough should be mildly sweet. I have to check back my cookbook again that I had this written down in to see if I made an error with the sugar.

they were just fine and he ate them greedily plus I dont like to use too much sugar as my son is sure to want to try them...oh I used regular brown suagr like what we produce back in Bim

Hi from another bajan blogger. Nice site and thanks for the turnover recipe. I have a nice dough recipe but wasn't sure how to prepare the coconut inside.

Looking forward to some nice turnovers this evening!

I have not gotten a chance to post the recipe again because of second and third testing. If you cannot wait any longer go on the new site and leave a comment there so that I can send you this recipe to your email. If you do not want the vegan version the vegetarian version is on TASTE LIKE HOME .ORG WEBSITE. Please give me some time to repost the recipe on the new site.
